I'm not sure what was more exciting...the bus ride or the zoo itself! Regardless, we had a great time on our first field trip to the zoo. Thanks to all who chaperoned, the children smiled all day long!
I am happy to introduce to you a new member of our Seaside family - Lavender the bunny. He was in need of a loving home after Dr. Hall found him in her yard. She took him to vet where she found out he was a boy, only 8 weeks old and has a fractured front leg. The vet could also tell that the bunny was not wild and that he was most likely let go or got out. Having Lavender in our classroom provides so many teaching opportunities; patience, responsibility, kindness and nonfiction topics like habitats, diet, animals
We had the best time showing aunts, uncles, grandparents, moms, dads and special friends how we do things at Seaside: morning circle, nature walk, farm garden, flower crown making, crafting, snacking and playing! A big thanks to everyone who came! |
